Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December 1991. His parents are Manny James and Patty James. He is the son of Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. He graduated from Sanderson High School. In 2015, he graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree from Wake Forest University. James became famous when the show The Bachelorette as a reality TV star. In 2020, he was chosen to be the next bachelor in season 25, becoming The only African American male lead which later premiered in 2021. James seemed to be the perfect choice for the role as his height is tall, handsome and well-rounded and has a great sense of humor. Rachael Krakconnell, whom James had picked as his girlfriend to date throughout the season. The following year, in 2021, he got a partner with the well-known dancer Arnold to compete in the season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold came 12th.
